The worst/best practice session yet

Holy shit this morning’s session sucked. I just wasn’t feeling it and it felt like everything I did was wack and cliche.

But I kept pushing and I just shifted entirely on the mechanics of looking ahead. One of my bad habits has been not looking at the next word until I’m done with the preceding couplet. Which puts me at a huge disadvantage because I get even less time for the setup. So I started really really leaning into that. And even though I never really got into the “mood” or felt like there was anything cool to come out of it content-wise, I did succeed in working that muscle and getting into that habit, which is the point of these exercises to begin with.
